Geoff is crazy in love with Stanley, but while Geoff works hard to keep fit, Stanley... well, Stanley's a connoisseur of scotch and bacon. But the tables turn when Geoff discovers a tumour in his left testicle and suddenly has to face his own mortality.

William B. Davis used to live with one of Margot Kidder's best friends but he and Margot never met, until they played an unhappily married couple on Robson Arms. When Margot Kidder first left home she lived in a ramshackle building in Vancouver's West End: "It was mouldy and musty and full of characters. When my parents found out where I was really living they were horrified!"
