"All About Kitty"

Written by: Susin Nielsen     Directed by: James Dunnison

Toni's life has her feeling old, unattractive, and underappreciated. To make matters worse, Elvis, the new property manager, is jacking up the rent on the store beyond their reach and she's in the throes of menopause. So when Bao's young and beautiful cousin, Kitty Chong, arrives uninvited from Kowloon, Toni thinks that she's found a friend and a confidante. It isn't until she's wormed her way into their lives that Toni realizes Kitty's betrayed her in multiple ways, including performing some handiwork for Elvis and flirting with Bao. Toni tries to kick her out, but Kitty's claws come out and she offers to strike a deal with Toni – Elvis will renew the lease at the old rate if Toni sponsors her immigration. It looks like Kitty's machinations have forced Toni into a corner. But fuelled by an encounter with a surprisingly philosophical - if twisted - Yuri, Toni demonstrates how age and experience can triumph over youth and beauty any day.

Jim Caruk of HGTV's "Real Renos" has cameo and when asked what he would do with Robson Arms, his reply was "Tear it down! I would just put a bomb to it." He adds that "some people do want us to keep what we can with buildings like this, but it's really not worth it sometimes. I mean we can bring it back to what it did look like, a newer version, but a good size bulldozer would fix it."
