"Texas Birthmark"

Written by: Jesse McKeown     Directed by: James Genn

Lonely, depressed, and sleep-deprived, Bobbi struggles to look after her newborn baby. The freezer is busted and her breastmilk is melting, Bobby is out of town again, and the baby is looking awfully yellow. She phones Bobby and at his prodding goes to the doctor. The doctor is less concerned about baby Robbie's Texas-shaped birthmark than she is about Bobbi's mental state and Bobbi returns home with anti-depressants in hand. A brief, but painful altercation with Sault sends Bobbi over the brink and she swallows one pill too many. The refrigerator repairman shows up and lends a sympathetic ear when Bobbi calls her husband and a strange woman answers. She confesses that she thinks Bobby is cheating on her. After the repairman relays some telling information about his own childhood, Bobbi, as if waking from a dream, makes a decision that may change the course of their lives.

As with the pink panties in Season 1, a stuffed toy beaver has its own storyline this season. Look for it to appear again here, much to the delight of its makers, The Manhattan Toy Company.

Breaking from Robson Arms tradition of having scenelets at the beginning that reflects on the past and peeks to a future episode, look for all the scenelets in this season finale to appear at the end and strongly point toward storylines for Season 3.
